Programs

Designed to develop transfer-ready students in a variety of disciplines, Ivy Bridge College’s degree programs are built around a strong general education core featuring several liberal arts knowledge requirements. All students take our general education core plus satisfy requirements specific to their major. Students also choose from an array of elective courses to help them round out their associate’s degree or satisfy prerequisites at their destination institution.

Ivy Bridge College offers nine associate degree programs:

Associate of Arts in General Studies

Associate of Criminal Justice in Law Enforcement

Associate of Business Administration in Business

Associate of Business Administration in Accounting

Associate of Business in Computer & Information Technology

Associate of Business in Healthcare Administration

Associate of Criminal Justice in Corrections Degree

Associate of Business Administration in Sports Management

Associate of Criminal Justice in Homeland Security Degree

Learning Outcomes

The primary goal of these degree programs and Ivy Bridge College is to help students earn a bachelor’s degree at the four-year school or university of their choosing. To prepare them for the rigors of that journey, Ivy Bridge has defined a clear set of learning outcomes that are embedded in the curriculum. These outcomes include:

  1. Students will write with clarity and precision.
  2. Students will communicate with clarity and precision.
  3. Students will acquire skills in modern information technologies and the ability to think logically about and critically analyze information.
  4. Students will work with numbers and understand quantitative methods.
  5. Students will apply the scientific method to a general natural science domain.
  6. Students will understand their civic responsibilities as well as current ethical concerns within our world.
  7. Students will demonstrate proficiency in critical thinking, reading, writing, and mathematics in the context of the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences.

Academic Calendar

Ivy Bridge College has three semesters per year, each 15 weeks in length with two seven-week sessions. Almost all classes are offered in the seven-week format. Students can enroll at any of six starts during the year. Full time students take two classes per seven-week session.
