What can I do with an Ivy Bridge College Degree?

Ivy Bridge College has Articulation—or Transfer Agreements—in place with Tiffin University and dozens of other colleges and universities throughout the United States. These agreements make it easier for students to be accepted into and to transfer credits to four-year institutions.

Who are my professors?

All faculty members possess a minimum of a Master's degree. You will never have a graduate student or teaching assistant as your professor. Ivy Bridge College faculty members are experts in their field and bring a great deal of practical experience and insight into the classroom. All Ivy Bridge faculty are specially trained in online teaching techniques that make your learning experience valuable and engaging.

What is the typical class size?

Your largest class will be no more than 30 students. This small class size allows for more personalized attention and the development of a rapport between the students and the professor.

How much time should I expect to spend every day, and week on my schoolwork?

You will have a lot of support from your coach, tutors and instructors, but keep in mind this is an accredited, rigorous program. We pride ourselves on making sure every student is excellently prepared to transfer to a four year school or step into a successful career. On average, expect to spend 1.5-2 hours each day for each course. Thus 3-4 hours each day for 2 course full-time load, a total of about 25 hours a week.

What kind of academic assistance is available?

Our goal (and our passion!) is to see you succeed, and we offer extensive support services to help. Online tutoring is available between 10 am and midnight Eastern Time every day. Tutors will provide you with the expert guidance might need on a full range of academic skills that are useful in any degree concentration. In addition, you'll also find the faculty accessible and willing to help. All full-time faculty members have at least 3 office hours per week and are also available by individual appointment. You are encouraged to discuss questions or concerns with your professor. Library Services are also available to you. The Pfeiffer Library is a member of the Ohio Private Academic Libraries (OPAL) consortium and OhioLINK, a consortium of Ohio's college and university libraries. This valuable resource provides the entire university community with online access to interlibrary loans, full-text journals, and research databases.

Making the transition from high school to college is a major life change, no matter what your particular circumstances. That is why every Ivy Bridge student has his or her own Success Coach. In fact, before you start your first class, a Success Coach will already be assigned to you, ready to help with all aspects of your academic transition.

What is the benefit of having a success coach?

Success Coaches contact students regularly through scheduled phone calls, e-mail, instant messaging, and text messaging. They help students adjust to college life, offer input on what courses to take, help them register for classes, discuss assignments and concerns, and work with them to set both short-term and long-term goals.
