Making the transition from high school to college is a major life change.  At Ivy Bridge College, we have students who still live at home to save on expenses, and we also have students who have their own places.  We have students who enroll in our online program full-time, and we have other students with jobs and families.

That is why all of our students have their own “Success Coach.”  In fact, before you start your very first class, you have your Success Coach assigned to you, already in your corner, ready to help you with the transition.

11.  What is the benefit of having a success coach?

The Success Coaches contact students regularly through scheduled phone calls, e-mail, instant messaging, and text messaging.  They help students adjust to college life, offer input on what courses to take, help them register for classes, discuss assignments and concerns, and work with them to set both short-term and long-term goals.

Whether you aspire to attend a state university near home or a liberal arts college across the country, our coaches can help you determine which Ivy Bridge College course credits will transfer there and the grade point average you need to gain admission.

And last but not least, your Success Coach is your friend.  Sure, your Success Coach may push you hard sometimes to get your class work done, but it’s always in your best interest.  Your Success Coach is the one person you can always count on to listen and to offer suggestions, support, and advice - whatever you need to make your Ivy Bridge education lead to graduation, and beyond!
