Message from Ivy Bridge Dean, Kim Brooks

Welcome to Ivy Bridge College!

From my first day at Ivy Bridge College, I knew that joining this college was the right choice for me. I am privileged to be a part of an institution whose mission is aligned with my own aspirations—to help others better their lives through education. I believe that education changes lives. By providing access, opportunities, and support to our students, Ivy Bridge College changes lives too.

As academic dean, my primary concern is to ensure that every student who comes to Ivy Bridge receives a high-quality academic experience. I believe strongly that students who finish our programs are well prepared to meet the challenges of the next phase of their academic quest or career path.

An important part of your academic experience at Ivy Bridge College is the faculty who teach our courses and the course content that they create. Our faculty members are experts in their fields. They have achieved graduate degrees in their subject areas and most have either outstanding academic or professional experience in the subjects that they teach. They are up-to-date on advancements in the field and ready to share that experience with you.  The faculty and instructional design staff continuously work to improve the content in the courses and the way that you, the student, interact with the course materials.

At Ivy Bridge College, we believe that you can succeed and we are here to help you reach your goals. In addition to your instructors, a dedicated staff of full-time tutors, success coaches, and academic advisors are available to provide you with outstanding student support outside of the classroom. The tutoring staff is available for individual and group appointments to provide you with real-time English, math, computer, or writing assistance. Our success coaching team provides resources to help guide you through the obstacles that can get in the way of your success. The academic advising team provides information and guidance to ensure that you have all the requisite skills to move on to the next set of courses in your degree plan. And the tutors, coaches, and advisors work in conjunction with the faculty as a cohesive team to facilitate your success.
